PBK is a plumbing advisor to you. We will apply our expertise to your project with your input and intentions in mind. While we can help you with spatial planning and plumbing specific layouts of your space, we are not certified designers. We offer common sense solutions to inconvenient situations our customers may encounter in their project.
Obtaining any and all dimensions for all your fixtures, such as, but not limited to, showers, tubs, whirlpools, sinks and faucets, are essential in the selection process. In addition, it is always helpful to have as many measurements and drawings of the room(s) or space available for your special project.
While appointments are not required, they are very helpful, especially for large projects. We want to make sure you don’t wait unnecessarily and make sure we block off enough time to complete your project comfortably.
Each manufacturer has different production time frames and stocking policies. Items can often be available in 7 – 10 business days, yet a non standard item in a special finish can often take 4 – 6 weeks, custom pieces even longer. Product in stock at the manufacturer can be scheduled for Next Day Air for a charge. We recommend giving yourself as much time as possible and suggest working closely with your salesperson to design the appropriate ordering schedule
We will take the time to explain what products are in stock and the lead times for special order products to all our clients.
If you hire an architect or designer, please bring a set of your plans. If not, it is very helpful if you sketch a basic floor-plan so we can help you design your layout. It is important to let us know if you are working with a contractor or designer so we can coordinate all product selections and project details.
- Talk to your contractor or designer.
- Decide on a style – Contemporary? Traditional? Transitional? Craftsman?
- Purchase design magazines and gather ideas. Have an overall scheme or design plan.
- Being prepared before coming in helps both you and us. Bring us your plans or blueprints.
It is always helpful if you have pictures to share with us. We encourage you to bring in photos or magazine features that paint a picture of your dream project for us.
